Interfaith Peace Award to Dada
![]() Tall buildings, glittering lights, hectic and frenzied activity, people in their long overcoats rushing across the streets and avenues – This is what a typical scene at New York City is all about. However at the Town Hall the setting was altogether different. Light twinkling music, deep breathing, eyes closed, lights faded, concentrated minds, a soft, sweet, resonant musical voice guiding people through inner pathways, through their deep divine recesses of their consciousness - the end result - peaceful minds.
Dada gave an inspirational, soul uplifting talk in English and conducted a Meditation Session at an over packed audience at the Town Hall. The crowd represented a diverse section of the populace of New York City including a large number of Non Indians.
Speaking on the occasion Dada J.P. Vaswani said: The purpose of the human birth is to grow in perfection. We must be more perfect today than we were yesterday. The 21st century , Dada added is a century of tremendous discoveries. But we have lost ourselves, we need to rediscover ourselves. And one way to rediscover ourselves is to practice silence every day.
The president of the Interfaith Center, The very Reverend James Parks Mortan, presented to Dada an INTERFAITH PEACE AWARD for his noble and selfless service to the cause of universal peace.

With deep admiration and respect for Dada he stated that Dada has come back in this age to revive the universal truths of Hinduism. He affectionately referred to Dada as an apostle of love and peace, a rare personality, rich, profound and great in his spritual wisdom who through his teachings would help the fundamental truths of Hindusim to be put into practise by the multitudes over the world.
